Anita is a former English, History, and Technology teacher as well as a school administrator. In her teaching career, she has worked in a variety of academic settings from public and private schools located in the United States, South Africa and Thailand. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Florida Southern College in the USA, and a Honours degree in Educational Change with a focus on Leadership and Policy from University of the Witwatersrand.
Oversaw the creation of a multimedia space of technology, a library and SMART board classroom
Trained over 12 teachers on using technology and the implementation of SMART board technology
Served on the Peer Support Committee to support over 30 American volunteers, who were working in South Africa
Provided over 75 secondary learners with ongoing support to ensure academic and personal success in higher education
Worked with grade 8 learners to mentor and assist them into their transition of secondary school through leadership workshops and field trips
